The Crystal Coast Booty Divers traveled to Greenville to face off against the Greenville Black Beards for the second time in two days. The Booty Divers won 17/11.
Carson Gipson started on the bump, going for five innings, giving up three runs, and a strikeout.
Connor Brady and Gavin Zoeller came in for relief, each going for an inning and giving up three runs.
Tyler Deluzio followed and ran into a hot Black Beards team and gave up five runs.
Ryan Jackson closed out the game in the ninth inning with no hits, a walk, and two strikeouts .
The bats started hot and stayed hot. They scored two runs in the second inning before a five run third inning after a grand slam from Jovan Gill. Gill went on to hit three home runs in the game, the second member of the team to do so this season.
The Booty Divers never looked back scoring runs in seven of the nine innings.
Joey Calabretti and Jon Howard added home runs as well. All nine in the lineup reached first base at some point in the game.
The Marlins will be back in action tomorrow at Big Rock Stadium against the Peninsula Pilots. The game will be streamed on Home Team Network, with first pitch at 6:30 and pregame coverage beginning at 6:20.
