Game Day Staff: (part-time) 

Every spring the Morehead City Marlins look for qualified, customer service-oriented, and outgoing individuals to work at Big Rock Stadium during baseball season. All interested candidates are invited to apply. We ask that you complete our online application prior to interviewing for any of our available game day positions. Seasonal/Part-Time Roles:

Finn The Marlin Mascot – This individual is responsible for creating the ultimate fan experience! From community appearances to interactions during games, Finn is the face of the Marlins! Must be fun-loving, energetic, and willing to have fun with fans.  Please email [email protected] for more information.


Game Day positions:

Concessions (CASHIERS) – Cashiers are the face of the Marlins food and beverage experience. They are expected to greet and accommodate customers with a positive attitude and a smile.  Cashiers are responsible for managing cash and credit transactions at each of our concessions areas while processing accurate and timely concessions orders. Interested candidates should have a positive attitude, outgoing personality, and work well in group settings.

Concessions (COOK) – Responsible for ensuring Marlins fans receive the freshest food possible in a timely manner.  Grillers will follow specific food preparation and sanitation guidelines designed to create a consistent quality product. Interested candidates should have experience in a kitchen environment, and be able to work in a fast-paced, hot environment.  

Concessions (RUNNERS) – Runners serve as liaisons between the Grillers and Cashiers to fill the customer’s order. 

Hospitality Servers (Must be 18+) – Provide service to the box seats customers, including but not limited to; preparing the suite with food and beverage for the game, maintaining suite cleanliness, and providing a positive experience for all members of the group. Suite servers must be at least 18 years of age and have an outgoing personality. 

Stadium UsherDirects fans to their seats and answers any questions they may have. This requires an increased knowledge of Big Rock Stadium and its various areas and a willingness to inquire with full-time staff if needed to ensure our fans are receiving the correct information in a kind and timely manner. 

Beer Pourers (Must Be 18+) – Beer Pourers are expected to have great customer service skills and follow proper alcohol awareness policies. Cash handling and being able to work in a fast-paced environment are major qualifications for this position.

Ticket Office Staff – Responsible for handling ticketing and will call windows at the Marlins Ticket Office before Marlins home games. Must be great with customer service, counting and handling cash, and staying organized. 

Ticket Scanners – Responsible for scanning tickets as guests arrive. Must be great with customer service, fun, and energetic.

Team Store– Assist Marlins fans in finding the apparel or memorabilia of their choice in the Team Store. Provide a positive experience for the fans while efficiently entering the cash and credit transactions.
