From the moment we announced baseball is coming to Morehead City, we have worked hard to make sure our players and our organization are active members of the Carteret County community. The Marlins support a large number of non-profit groups in the area. Support can come in many forms including donations of auction items, fundraising programs, and appearances by our players, coaches, and front office staff.
Each person that is brought into the community, especially players, are excellent role models for area youth. These players are unpaid students who play for the love of the game and can relate to children who want to be around the game of baseball. When we recruit players, coaches or staff, we look for character attributes in each individual to make sure that they can acclimate to the community and represent the Marlins in the highest regard. It is understood by everyone involved, from top to bottom, that each person is held to a high standard on and off the field.
We hope that our organization can excitement to Carteret County by providing an outlet for family-friendly fun; as well as fostering an additional economic boost to the area. Go Marlins! Rest assured we will be out and about in the community for years to come.
