Six Marlins Named to CPL East All-Star Roster for Macon Showcase
MOREHEAD CITY, NC – The Morehead City Marlins are sending a wave of talent to Macon, Georgia, with seven team representatives named to the 2025 Coastal Plain League East All-Star roster. The All-Star festivities, held July 6–7 at historic Luther Williams Field, will spotlight some of the league’s brightest stars—many of whom call Morehead City home this summer.
Leading the group is Tanner Mally, who has been nothing short of electric at the plate. The outfielder enters the break as the league’s leading hitter with a staggering .413 batting average, adding 19 runs and 11 RBIs to his impressive résumé. He’ll be joined in the outfield by fellow Marlin Nate Anderson, a consistent presence in the lineup who’s delivered both at the plate and defensively all season long.
Wyatt Stanley earned his spot as the East’s starting designated hitter thanks to his steady bat and power potential, batting .272 with a team-high 25 RBIs. In the infield, Ronan Donohue will represent the Marlins at third base, having showcased elite versatility, strong defense, and timely hitting throughout the summer campaign.
On the mound, Reid Bertram, a left-handed pitcher from West Virginia, has been one of the most reliable arms out of the bullpen. Joining him is RHP Danny Thompson, who has dominated opponents with his command and late-inning poise, making him a key asset in the Marlins’ pitching staff and a natural All-Star selection.
Rounding out the group are coaches Josh Plisko and Jaylen Mack, both chosen to assist East Division skipper Sam Carel—who also happens to manage the Marlins. The trio will represent Morehead City in the dugout as they lead the league’s best onto the All-Star stage.
“This is a special group,” said Carel. “These guys have worked incredibly hard, and it’s great to see them get the recognition they deserve. We’re proud to represent Morehead City in Macon.”
The All-Star experience includes a Skills Challenge and autograph session on Sunday, followed by Scout Day and the All-Star Game on Monday, July 7 at 7:00 PM ET. The game will be streamed live on FloSports.
