ASHEBORO, NC–The Morehead City Marlins (20-5) traveled to take on the Asheboro Zookeepers (14-8) in the second game of their road trip with a 10-7 win in eight innings.

The Marlins came out of the gates hot, recording four consecutive hits. Singles from Diego Diaz and Bray Touchstone, along with an RBI single from Jovan Gill, and a three-run home run for Jon Howard, in his first game back.

Asheboro matched the Marlins with a home run of their own in the first inning from Blake Brookins, adding two runs.

After Touchstone and Gill reached in the third inning, Ethan Dillon sent his first home run over the right field wall.
