MOREHEAD CITY, NC–The Morehead City Marlins got back in the win column, with a 6-2 win over the Zebulon Devil Dogs at Big Rock Stadium.
Despite being down 2-1 in the seventh inning, a four run explosion gave them a 5-2 lead, with RBIs from Cruz Harlan, Jovan Gill and Jakob Haynes.
Six batters for the Marlins recorded multiple hits, including Bray Touchstone who had three hits and a walk.
In the inning Morehead City had six consecutive hits, before Kobe Minchey closed out the inning.
The trio of James Brock, Spencer Cipro and Sage Ferguson were incredible, combining for 17 strikeouts on the evening. Brock led the crew with 10 strikeouts in his five innings of work, before Cipro came in and secured the win.
The Marlins will take a few days off before returning back to Big Rock Stadium on Thursday, June 11th, to host the Tri-City Chili Peppers. First pitch is scheduled for 6:30 pm and pregame coverage will begin at 6:15pm on Home Team Network.
