Jackson Chladek Named Director of Operations

Chladek further bolsters growing front office staff for Marlins

MOREHEAD CITY, N.C.– The Morehead City Marlins have announced the hiring of Jackson Chladek as the new Director of Operations. Chladek will oversee multiple functions within the Marlins organization, including all stadium operations, merchandise, and food and beverage management at Big Rock Stadium. 

“After such a successful 2021 season, we are ecstatic to add someone with the experience and determination that Jackson has!” General Manager Ross Combs said. “We now maintain the largest front office in Marlins history and are eager to get our fans back out to Big Rock Stadium this summer!”

Originally hailing from Somerset, Wisconsin, Chladek brings to the Marlins four years of game day operations and event management experience at both the collegiate and professional level. 

Chladek began his career in athletics as an equipment manager at the University of Kansas, where he graduated in 2020 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Sports Management. Most recently, while earning his Master’s Degree in Higher Education Leadership, Chladek worked as a Graduate Assistant at Valdosta State University, where he was involved in the coordination and planning of all athletic events held at the university. While pursuing his education, Chladek simultaneously interned at the professional level with the Kansas City Chiefs (2019) and Jacksonville Jaguars (2021) in game day event management roles.

“I am beyond thankful and thrilled about the opportunity Buddy, Rich and Ross have provided for me,” Chladek said. “There are exciting things happening with the Marlins and I am looking forward to working in concert with our staff and the Morehead City community to continue to build upon what this organization has achieved both on and off the field.” 

Chladek currently resides in Atlantic Beach, but come autumn and winter, he loves to return to his home state of Wisconsin to whitetail deer hunt and ice fish, respectively. As a lifelong fan of the Minnesota Twins and Vikings, Chladek sincerely welcomes the championship culture that the Marlins uphold. 

Along with Chladek, the Marlins Front Office Staff is comprised of Team President Buddy Bengel, Executive Vice President Rich Mackesy and General Manager Ross Combs.
