Full Team Effort Drives Marlins to Win
Morehead City, NC- In a rain shortened affair the Morehead City Marlins toppled the Florence Flamingos 6-1.

The Marlins got all the scoring they needed in the third inning. Sean Johnson struck first with an RBI single followed by a two run Dylan Rogers single and a Ben Miller run scoring double.

Peter Allegro pitched into the fifth inning keeping the Flamingos bats at bay.

In the bottom of the inning Johnson reached on an error by Florence’s second baseman extending the Marlins lead to 6-1.

Trey Jernigan and Salvatore Ferro would come on for the sixth and seventh innings respectively and deliver the Marlins the seven inning victory.

Morehead City will head up to Hampton tomorrow to meet with the Peninsula Pilots on the 4th of July.
