Morehead City, N.C. – The Morehead City Marlins are gearing up for another thrilling round of baseball as they welcome back four familiar teams to Puck O’Neal Field at Big Rock Stadium for the second consecutive year. With the 2024 Presidents Day Weekend Tournament just around the corner, anticipation is high as fans prepare to witness some intense matchups.

Among the returning teams are the Assumption Greyhounds, Felician Golden Falcons, Millersville Marauders, and Molloy Lions. Each team brings its own unique strengths and achievements to the tournament, promising an exciting display of talent on the field.

The Assumption Greyhounds are looking to improve upon their performance from last year, boasting an overall record of 15-32 in the 2023 season. With a solid conference record of 8-16 and a fifth-place finish in the Northeast Division of the Northeast-10 Conference, the Greyhounds are determined to make their mark this year. Having qualified for the NCAA DII East Regional twice in the last four years, they are a team to watch out for.

Next up, the Felician Golden Falcons are returning as reigning champions, having clinched the 2023 CACC title. With an overall record of 25-32 and a conference record of 13-12, the Golden Falcons are eager to defend their title and showcase their talent once again. As the CACC representative in the 2023 NCAA DII East Regionals, they are sure to bring fierce competition to the tournament.

The Millersville Marauders are also back with a vengeance, boasting an impressive 2023 season record of 46-10. With a dominant conference record of 21-3 and a first-place finish in the East Division of the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference, the Marauders are a force to be reckoned with. Although they experienced a first-round exit in the PSAC baseball championship tournament last year, their status as 2022 PSAC champions speaks volumes about their capabilities on the field.

Last but not least, the Molloy Lions are returning with momentum after a successful 2023 season. With an overall record of 35-17 and a conference record of 19-5, the Lions clinched the top spot in the East Coast Conference standings. Making it to the championship round of the 2023 ECC championships, they are determined to build upon their success and vie for victory in this year’s tournament.

As the teams prepare to face off once again at Puck O’Neal Field at Big Rock Stadium, baseball fans can expect nothing short of an electrifying display of skill, determination, and sportsmanship.
