MOREHEAD CITY, NC–The Crystal Coast Booty Divers defeated the Zebulon Devil Dogs 11-0, in the team’s sixth matchup of the season. 

Kory Williams started on the mound, going for an astonishing five innings, giving up just three hits and 12 strikeouts. Brandon Carter came in to relieve him, recording two strikeouts in his inning of work, retiring the side. Kole Hopkins finished the game on the mound with a strikeout in his one inning. 

The final out of the game was the only out recorded in the field for the Booty Divers. The rest were either strikeouts or pop-ups into foul territory. 

The Booty Divers started the game with an RBI that scored Grant Russo in the first inning. Bray Touchstone added to the lead with a 2-RBI single in the third inning. The Booty Divers exploded for seven runs in the fifth inning as the first seven batters scored. The inning was highlighted by Peyton Watt’s first home run of the year, scoring the final three runs of the frame. The second RBI-single for Braxton Thomas was the final score of the game in the bottom of the sixth inning.

The Booty Divers move to 24-7 on the season and 14-2 at home with 10 mercy rule wins, adding to the record-breaking year for Morehead City. 

Morehead City will head to Holly Springs to play the Salamanders tomorrow. First pitch is at 6:30pm at the North Main Athletic Complex. Fans can watch the game on Home Team Network or listen to the Marlins Radio Broadcast for free on Mixlr. Pregame coverage will start at 6:15pm.
