Morehead City N.C.- A tough night for the Morehead City Marlins (24-10) as they fall to the Wilson Tobs (17-14) at home in a 12-5 lose.
The Tobs seemingly had everything working for them as they racked up 17 hits, three of with were home runs, to go along with strong pitching preformances from all four arms that threw.
All while the Marlins hung around early in the game, starting with a third inning home run from Blaze Glenn (Youngstown State University) that made it just a 4-2 deficit. A couple of innings later, the Marlins trailed by three but tacked on a pair of runs in the fifth to make it a 5-4 game.
From there however, the Tobs added seven runs over the nest three frames to make it a 12-4 Wilson advantage.
Though the Marlins added a run off an RBI double from Jack Harris in the bottom of ninth to extend his hit-streak to six game and notch home RBI number 32 on the year.
The Marlins will look to bounce back tomorrow night against the Wilmington Sharks, who the Marlins are 9-0 against. The game is at Big Rock Stadium which also fairs well for Morehead City as they are 14-4 when playing at home.
