Marlins Take Early 4-0 Lead Before Game Suspended

MOREHEAD CITY, NC -- Rain forced an early end to the Friday night action at Big Rock Stadium, with the Marlins taking a 4-0 lead into the 3rd inning.

After a scoreless first, the Marlins rode the wet conditions to a 4-spot in the 2nd inning.

An RBI single from Tony Mack was the only hit in the inning for Morehead City, but two walks from Sharks starter Garrett McDaniels, in addition to two errors and a wild pitch, helped move the Marlin runners around. A two-base error from catcher Dallas Callahan plated the final two runs of the inning for Morehead City.

The Marlins and Sharks will resume this game on Sunday, before their regularly scheduled game at 7 p.m.
